Serenity is a joyful and energetic painting using cracking paste and acrylic paints on canvas.
Samuel created this artwork for Supawan, a Thai restaurant in Kings Cross, London, that has exhibited his work for many years.
He took the brands colours and transformed it into this vibrant abstract painting.
Samuel brushed, sponged and flicked the acrylic paints over the cracked paste surface, creating many layers of texture.
Serenity was named by his friend Roxy, after asking for viewers input in the naming process. This was a theme carried through in lots of answers. While Samuel saw energy and chaos, others interpereted the painting as calming which is the beauty of Samuel's work.
Serenity measures 90cm x 90cm and is fixed within a white oak frame measuring 93.5cm x 93.5cm x 3.5cm.
