Cold Shoulder
Cold Shoulder is an abstract painting inspired by the cold weather on the weekend it was painted.
While creating ‘Glacial’ and ‘The Garden Path’ for his exhibition in the showroom at Industville in East London, Samuel was inspired by the colour palettes he was using. Cold Shoulder is a combination of magical blues and purples that are reminiscent of chilly days. The white icicle like shapes and the overall wash of white brings the composition together and the light mist of gold spray paint over the top gives it an elegant quality.
Cold Shoulder is made using cracked clay, acrylic paints and spray paint on a canvas measuring 80cm x 60cm. The canvas sits within a grey washed wooded frame measuring 83cm x 63cm x 3.5cm.
