Hold On To Each Other
'Hold On To Each Other' is a sculptural wall hanging inspired by the song June by Florence and the Machine and the social distancing measures taking because of Covid-19.
Samuel wanted to create a painting that spread a positive message during this pandemic.
This painting belongs to the Up-Cycled collection as it is made using a discarded wooden palette.
Strips of palette are screwed to to horizontal braces at the back.
Foam is used at the top of the sculpture, its bulbous shapes contrasting against the palettes hard and linear surface.
Samuel has used green, grey and gold acrylic paints to create this powerful composition which is finished with a slightly glossy varnish.
The sculpture weighs 3.4kg so strong wall fixings are required to hang this sculpture.
Brass fixings and brass hanging wire are fixed to the back so it is ready to hang.
Hold On To Each Other measures 80cm x 42cm x 5cm and is available to buy from the shop.
